Looking Up

Written by John Teague

There’s too many eyes in this room

I’d kill for a drink and hues

That better suit the darkness

The Moon sent vibes in tune

With a skill binding me to

A purity only found up here

Devil's dancing in the other room

He’s playing peek-a-boo with a few of the

Drunk and mindless

But Jesus brought the wine and I brought mine

Together we toast to a new world

Beyond the Apocalypse

The needles and sweat I won't forget…

Forgot to introduce myself

To the guests in the back

But they don’t even seem to care

They look lonely its been awhile

Since they stopped staring at Earth

I suppose it is beautiful From here

The needles and sweat I won't forget…

Heaven’s so beautiful

But it don’t compare to you

And I won't forget

The view, the view

Then there’s you down there

Looking up is ok

I’m so sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye

Till it’s “hello” don’t you ever

Wonder why

While you’re down there on the coast

I’m playing Dominos with Pawpaw

And don’t you cry no more

'Cause the smell of your hair I won't forget

Heaven’s so beautiful

But it don’t compare to you

And I won't forget

The view, the view

Then there’s you down there

Looking up is ok

I’m so sorry I did not get to say goodbye

Until it’s “hello” don’t you ever

Wonder why

While you’re down there on the coast

I’m playing dominos and

I was so young I was so young

But don't you cry

Don't you cry...
